Applying to the CIB

Starting the admission process with us means choosing a school that aims to transform the world of gastronomy and drive education towards a model that’s aligned with today’s values: a healthier industry that is kinder to nature and brings happiness and wellbeing to those who work in it.

Here you will discover the ins and outs of the admission process at the Culinary Institute of Barcelona, and the different stages you will go through as we assess your candidacy to join our school.

We are more than happy to accompany you through this process and help you with anything you need.

How do I apply to the CIB?

The CIB’s admission process involves six steps. You will be
supported and guided by our admissions team all the way.

Step 1

Fill in the contact form

The first step is as simple as filling out the contact form below so that one of our advisors can contact you. This step is the catalyst that will open the doors to a new chapter in the world of gastronomy. Get ready to expand your horizons and embark on a transformative journey and a life-changing educational experience.

Complete this form and an advisor will contact you as soon as possible.

Step 2

Hear from one of our Advisors

We will assign you a personal advisor who will call you as soon as possible. They will be in charge of guiding and supporting you throughout the admission process to answer all your questions, whether or not you have decided on the program you want to study.

Step 3

Submit your admission form

Now that you have received some advice from your advisor and have all the information you need, including our #cookingtomorrow methodology book explaining the CIB’s methodology, it is time to complete the admission form.

This step is crucial for a successful application, and we are confident that you can do it. Remember that at the Culinary Institute of Barcelona, we are committed to a disruptive, creative and innovative education, and our eyes are always set on the future. Take charge of your future with confidence and success!

Step 4

Pass the evaluation interview

If your admission form meets our criteria, you will move on to the interview phase with the Admissions Committee. It will be an online interview at a specific time, depending on availability. We will evaluate your experience and professional background, motivations, skills and aptitudes, among other things. In short: this is the time to give it your all!.

If you get this far, remember that you will have approximately one month to complete your enrollment, so you should only sit the interview if you are sure you want to continue. Don't rush, do it when the time is right.

Step 5

Get accepted into the CIB

You're almost there! If you get to this stage, it means you have passed all the previous tests, and we are about to give you the good news you’ve been waiting for. Shortly, our admissions department will send you an email with the exciting news that you have been accepted into the Culinary Institute of Barcelona. But wait, the adventure doesn't end there! It's time to complete your enrollment and reserve your place.

Step 6

Complete your enrollment

You’ve completed the entire admission process at the Culinary Institute of Barcelona and are about to begin your journey as a future CIBer.

You will have to reserve your place the same week you receive the acceptance email, and pay the rest of the registration fee within a maximum period of 7 to 15 days (30% of the total amount of the course you have chosen). Once you complete your registration, you will officially become a CIB student. Congratulations! You are about to embark upon a life-changing experience.
