Today, the restaurant world is more complex than ever before, and the most successful establishments are those that combine design, creation and strategy in one business proposal, in short, the product.



That is why when we decided to design this course focused on restaurant and pastry business entrepreneurship , we wanted our students to feel that they are constantly looking towards the future, and that they understand that the only way to lead the future is by designing it themselves, in other words, by innovating.



This restaurant entrepreneur course offers you a 360º perspective, from ideation to post-inauguration, preparing you for the goal: "I am going to create my own restaurant". Whether you have a clear project or just a vague idea, this program will open your eyes to new ways of seeing the restaurant business and, above all, how customers will view your proposal in the coming years. This program is a journey through all the stages you will have to go through, with a particular focus on customers’ behavior, the latest business models and, of course, the digital world that will condition success.



One of the things that will surprise you most about this business program about Design, Creation and Strategy of Restaurant Business is its approach. Don't expect a course that floods you with information that you won't be able to manage. This course activates your knowledge in a different way: it teaches you to investigate and solve the problems you encounter whilst you design and create. Almost every subject includes a practical workshop, that's 11 workshops in total, in which you will work as a team to apply the knowledge you have acquired to real-life situations.



This approach also includes truly innovative perspectives, such as treating clients from an anthropological point of view, in which you will learn about both human motivations and behavior, so that you can design your restaurant accordingly.



This course teaches you how to create and the product and market strategy. You will use both digital and traditional tools, and by the end of the course, you will have acquired knowledge and a novel language that will give you a competitive edge when it comes to launching your idea.



You will bear witness to examples of successful business models from the hands of their creators and owners, from a burger restaurant to renowned Michelin-Star establishments.



You will learn the strengths and weaknesses of each and every one. You will accompany experts on a journey you will never forget, visiting more projects and delving deeper into the motivations and stories behind these legendary temples of gastronomy.

Explore La Rioja: The Universe of Francis Paniego

Leaving early on a Monday and returning on Thursday afternoon, you will discover different business models of restaurants created by the same person. You will walk through the streets of various towns in La Rioja, tasting, learning, and living the experience, from dining in a tavern to eating at a restaurant with two Michelin stars.

The Journey will allow you to see at its best all the knowledge acquired throughout the entrepreneurship program. This is part of the experiential sessions, called Explorer, held outside the CIB, bringing you closer to the reality of the entrepreneurial chef, always guided by its protagonists, founders, and/or top executives.

How do I submit my application to the CIB?

    Fill in the form

    The first step is as simple as filling out the contact form for one of our advisors to contact you.

  • Step 2

    Hear from one of our Advisors

    We will assign you a personal advisor who will call you as soon as possible and will guide and support you throughout the process to answer all your questions.

  • Step 3

    Submit your admission form

    It is time to complete the admission form. This step is crucial to successfully reaching the next stage of the application process.

  • Step 4

    Pass the evaluation interview

    If your admission form impressed us, you will move on to the interview phase with the Admissions Committee. This online interview will be set at a specific time depending on availability.

  • Step 5

    Get accepted into the CIB

    If you pass our evaluation interview, our Admissions Committee will send you an email with the exciting news that you have been accepted into the Culinary Institute of Barcelona.

  • Step 6

    Complete your enrollment

    You will have to reserve your place the same week you receive the acceptance email, and pay the rest of the registration fee within 15 days (30% of the total amount of the course you have chosen).
