It is not enough just to manage, undertake or lead.

Here we train the future owners, managers and founders of the restaurants of the 21st century.

In the coming years the restaurant sector will experience a tsunami of continuous changes that only those able to anticipate and adapt to them will be able to survive. Most of the ventures of the sector are based on a vision that can at times be unprofessional. However, the market is evolving at a different pace and towards new economic, social and conceptual paradigms that affect business models, demanding greater business knowledge and a sound vision for each restaurant.

Only those who operate businesses looking to the future and are able to adapt their business models to the issues that may arise will be the only ones with a strong probability of success.

The Master's Degree in Restaurant Management (MDR) deals precisely with these changes and prepares you to visualize, take stock of and act on the challenges of the future. It teaches you to observe, measure and adjust what is really important in order to react in advance ahead of others, strengthening your edge over your current and future competitors.

The Master's Degree in Restaurant Management (MDR) is a comprehensive programme consisting of three combined modules: Strategic Management, Executive Restaurant Management, and the choice between Operational Restaurant Management or F&B and Executive Chef), each is a postgraduate course in itself, which you can study independently and your choice to lead all facets of any restaurant business. Each postgraduate course lasts 3 months and runs once a year. You can take them in any order you like, and it is not even necessary for you to do them consecutively.

Admissions process:

Getting accepted by CIB

At the CIB, we receive thousands of admissions requests, but only a small amount of them reach the final acceptance phase.


The profile of our candidates is determined beforehand for each new intake and the Acceptance Committee strives to comply with the established criteria.

Only a handful of candidates pass the final phase.

    Send us your request and an advisor will call you as soon as possible to talk you through the process.

    Send in your admissions form
    Once you have spoken with the advisor, they will give you access to the admissions form and advise you on how to complete it successfully. We want to know about you, how you live, how you think, what you’re doing and what’s important for you.

    Assessment interview
    If your motivation form stands out, you will pass to interview phase. You will be able to arrange it at your convenience. We look at your attitude and inclination towards creativity and innovation as well as your entrepreneurial spirit and your life experience. We believe in people, not curriculums. That's why you should go for it.

    Acceptance Committee
    The Acceptance Committee will look over your application the Monday after your interview and that same day we will notify you by email.
  • 5

    Registration
    In the same notification, we will explain all about the process to reserve your place and to begin registering for the course. You will have 30 days to complete this process.
