The Gran Chef Diploma offers an innovative and transformative learning experience tailored to the dynamic world of gastronomy. This program equips students to become versatile chefs by combining advanced culinary training with key business management principles. To become a chef with both culinary and business visions means to have the ability to achieve these professional challenges: to lead or be part of a kitchen team, to master new culinary specialization techniques to differentiate yourself from the rest and confidently manage a business or launch your own restaurant or pastry project.


This Culinary Arts and Management training program is designed around four comprehensive learning and development stages, empowering you to become a well-rounded culinary professional equipped for every aspect of the gastronomic industry:

  1. Begin your journey with the PCAC - Haute Cuisine Chef Diploma, mastering the core skills and techniques required to excel in the culinary world.
  2. Specializing as a chef by choosing from one of our three specialization courses: PEC·H - Integrative & Healthy Cooking, PEC·T - Advanced Culinary Techniques or PEC·D1 - Professional Pastry Course.
  3. your leadership and management skills by selecting one of our advanced business specializations: ECD - Executive Chef Diploma or DCS - Design, Creation and Strategy of Restaurant Business.
  4. Complete your training with a six-month internship tailored to your unique skills and career goals, providing invaluable hands-on experience.

International internships where
you can continue learning with the CIB

You’ll spend six months applying everything you've learned, continuing your training in one of the many national or international restaurants partnered with CIB. These partnerships meet our educational quality standards, and we’ll monitor your progress as you advance on your journey to becoming a chef.

Training at the CIB is focused on entrepreneurship and on empowering students with the necessary skills to start their own project. CIBers are leaders perfectly trained to manage their own initiatives. How do I submit my application to the CIB?

Our admissions team will walk you through each of these simple steps

  • Step 1

    Fill in the form

    The first step is as simple as filling out the contact form for one of our advisors to contact you.

  • Step 2

    Hear from one of our Advisors

    We will assign you a personal advisor who will call you as soon as possible and will guide and support you throughout the process to answer all your questions.

  • Step 3

    Submit your admission form

    It is time to complete the admission form. This step is crucial to successfully reaching the next stage of the application process.

  • Step 4

    Pass the evaluation interview

    If your admission form impressed us, you will move on to the interview phase with the Admissions Committee. This online interview will be set at a specific time depending on availability.

  • Step 5

    Get accepted into the CIB

    If you pass our evaluation interview, our Admissions Committee will send you an email with the exciting news that you have been accepted into the Culinary Institute of Barcelona.

  • Step 6

    Complete your enrollment

    You will have to reserve your place the same week you receive the acceptance email, and pay the rest of the registration fee within 15 days (30% of the total amount of the course you have chosen).
