The Gran chef diploma offers disruptive training in the gastronomic sector, designed to prepare, train and transform students into all-round chefs. Our pedagogical model is centered around creativity and innovation, two driving forces that help us keep ahead of the market and find the best solutions.

This professional chef's training combines four learning and developmental stages to transform you into a 360° chef

  1. Training to be a chef with the PCAC - Haute Cuisine Chef Diploma
  2. Specializing as a chef by choosing from one of our four postgraduate courses: PEC·H - Integrative & Healthy Cooking, PEC·T - Advanced Culinary Techniques or PEC·D1 - Professional Pastry Course.
  3. Develop your most strategic skills by choosing one of our management specializations: ECD - Executive Chef Diploma or DCS - Design, Creation and Strategy of Restaurant Business.
  4. Continuing your training with a six-month internship chosen to suit each student's abilities and preferences.

CIB methodology

International internships where

You’ll spend six months practicing everything you have learned while you continue your training in one of the many national and international restaurants with which the CIB has a collaboration agreement. These agreements adhere to our educational quality criteria and we monitor your progress as you continue on your journey to becoming a chef.

How do I submit my application to the CIB?

Our admissions team will walk you through each of these simple steps

  • Step 1

    Fill in the form

    The first step is as simple as filling out the contact form for one of our advisors to contact you.

  • Step 2

    Hear from one of our Advisors

    We will assign you a personal advisor who will call you as soon as possible and will guide and support you throughout the process to answer all your questions.

  • Step 3

    Submit your admission form

    It is time to complete the admission form. This step is crucial to successfully reaching the next stage of the application process.

  • Step 4

    Pass the evaluation interview

    If your admission form impressed us, you will move on to the interview phase with the Admissions Committee. This online interview will be set at a specific time depending on availability.

  • Step 5

    Get accepted into the CIB

    If you pass our evaluation interview, our Admissions Committee will send you an email with the exciting news that you have been accepted into the Culinary Institute of Barcelona.

  • Step 6

    Complete your enrollment

    You will have to reserve your place the same week you receive the acceptance email, and pay the rest of the registration fee within 15 days (30% of the total amount of the course you have chosen).
